Our assembly team is currently working in Zimbabwe, assembling two sawmills – a DBS-560 sawmill at ALLIED TIMBERS Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd and a DBS-450 sawmill at BORDER TIMBERS LTD.
After a sawmill was successfully commissioned and handed over to ALLIED TIMBERS, a ceremonial handover took place.
During the final shipment to ALLIED TIMBERS, we sent not only sawing machines, but also educational materials and children’s toys for a kindergarten. This kindergarten is located on an ALLIED site and has been supported by the Schmitz family and MS MASCHINENBAU since 2020.
We launched a fundraising appeal and were overwhelmed by the response we received. Our heartfelt thanks go to the Schmitz family, the MS employees, and our suppliers – your support is invaluable for children in Africa.
On March 19, 2025, the time had finally come – the long-awaited handover could take place on the kindergarten grounds. In the presence of the ALLIED TIMBER management, our assembly manager, Mr. Mund, warmly welcomed the children and, on behalf of the Schmitz family and the entire MS team, presented them with numerous gifts. The children were overwhelmed and excited. They were so thrilled that they could hardly express it in words and simply expressed their gratitude with a brief “Thank you!” This short but heartfelt thank you has a very special meaning for us.
