In March 2022 we assembled and successfully commissioned a complete sawmill in Zimbabwe.

In 2020 MS Maschinenbau and Allied Timbers Zimbabwe Ltd, one of the largest timber companies in Zimbabwe, signed a contract for the delivery of a fully automatic round log sorting-line RSA and a complete high-performance sawmill. This was the second MS Maschinenbau sawmill to be delivered to Allied Timbers. The first went into operation in 2014. Since then, our machines have proven to be very powerful and reliable in difficult working conditions in Africa and Allied Timbers have therefore chosen us again as their supplier.

Despite corona-related difficulties, we manufactured and loaded the two lines with a total volume of 22 (!) 40-foot containers in accordance with the contract and on time.

The round log sorting line works in a fully automatic mode, it is designed for logs up to 600 mm in diameter and a daily output of up to 800 cubic meters. Additionally sorting line is equipped with a debarking machine HEM from our own production.

The sawing line consists of an extremely powerful timber circular saw DBS-560 and a multi-blade saw HNS-2. Both machines work as double spindle saws. A double edger type MBS-BV with a feed rate of up to 100 m/min is also integrated. Various mechanizations also belong to this sawmill.

Both lines are designed and built according to our main principles – heavy, robust, powerful and durable. The sawmill is planned for the production of various sawn goods with a daily volume of up to 400 cubic meters.

We would like to thank Allied Timbers for the trust placed in us!
